On the Hunt Charters Limited operate under an approved Marine Transport Operator Plan (MTOP) approved by Maritime New Zealand.

The prices of our services are in New Zealand Dollars and include 15% GST. 50% deposit may be required when making a booking, this will be confirmed by Owners. Full payment must be made to the below bank account the day before a Charter.
Payment can be made via: Bank Transfer or cash at boarding. Once a booking is made, we will unlikely make any changes to the price, however we do reserve the right to alter timetables and pricing at any time.

You may cancel your arrangements at any time, any changes or cancellations must be made in writing to: info@onthehuntcharters.co.nz.
On the hunt Charters require 10 days notice if you wish to cancel your booking. In the event that 10 days notice is not given, you will forfeit your deposit. We will endeavor to fill your spot however if this is unsuccessful, a refund will not be provided.
If notice is given with less than 5 days notice, you are liable to pay for the full fare booking
Should there be a ‘no show’ on the day of the charter, no refund will be given.
In the event the booking is cancelled at any time by On the hunt Charters due to bad weather conditions or mechanical issues etc, a replacement charter, subject to availability will be offered, at the Owners discretion. There will be a 12 month expiry to use the replacement charter. No refund will be made. We will not be held liable for any travel costs, meals, accommodation or any other costs the customer may have incurred.
Cancellations by On the hunt Charters may be caused by, but are not limited to;
On the hunt Charters will soon operate with a ‘Pest Free Warrant’, we will take precautions to avoid transportation of threats to our pristine islands and the whole Hauraki Gulf.
We will focus on protecting the Hauraki Gulf against the risk of rats, mice, skinks, ants and foreign soil and plants.
You may be subject to bag and equipment inspections and your footwear may need to be cleaned.

We treasure the cleanliness and lack of pollution in the Hauraki Gulf and require that all rubbish be disposed in the boats rubbish bins and disposed of in the correct way on shore.
All charters are subject to suitable weather conditions (the decision is made at the discretion of the skipper) and we reserve the right to cancel any trip due to bad weather (even at short notice).
Charters are not affected by rain but strong winds and big swells may result in cancellation of a charter
Marine weather forecasts can change during the day and overnight. We will endeavour to keep you updated and inform you via text, phone and/or email if any decision to cancel a charter is made.
All customers will be given a full safety brief at the start of each trip including a life jacket as part of our duty of care
Customers need to highlight if they have a pre-existing medical condition and if need be, discuss any medication that may be required in case of emergency.
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult and become their responsibility whilst on board the boat and are required to wear a life jacket at all times.
We want our customers to have a great time on our vessel, however the skipper has the authority to ban drinking alcohol at any time to enable a safe boating situation to be maintained for all on board. Anyone who turns up to attend a charter inebriated or under the influence of drugs will not be allowed to board.
Please arrive 5 minutes prior to the departure time of your trip (at Matiatia Wharf, Waiheke Island), as we will not wait for late customers as it’s not fair for others to be left waiting. Exception to Private Charters
On the hunt Charters is a registered Amateur-Fishing Charter Vessels by Ministry of Primary Industries and comply with all fishing regulations, in particular; minimum sizes, quota and avoidance of waste and harm to non-targeted species
We can’t guarantee the fish will be biting on a particular day but will endeavour to do everything in our power to get you on the fish and cater for all levels of angler experience.
Clients have no right of refund if the charter does not yield captured fish, or reduced time due to safety issues identified by the skipper.
On the Hunt Charters take pride in having top quality fishing equipment, hire of equipment, tackle and bait is included in the overall price, However the customer is liable to pay costs, as determined by On the hunt Charters Limited, for any accidental or deliberate damage, or loss of equipment is caused by you or your party.
You are welcome to bring any of your own gear if you choose but please notify us beforehand.
On the hunt Charters supports sustainable fishing practices. Fishing is our life and we want future generations to be able to enjoy it as much as we do. We encourage all our customers to release what they catch, especially the large breeding stock. Should you wish to keep a kingfish we have a limit of ONE KINGFISH PER PERSON/DAY. Ultimately we want to make sure you get a photo of a big kingfish in your arms.
For other species of fish such as snapper please call us to discuss limits. Generally speaking it is 7 snapper/person /day but we do encourage putting the large breeding stock back unharmed.
Photos and/or videos taken by us will be used for social media purposes. If you do not want us to take photos please notify us prior to booking date.
We will happily send you any photos that we have taken on your charter, send a request to info@onthehuntcharters.co.nz.
We do not have the ability to control what happens with media taken by yours or other passengers on the boat and this will need to settle between passengers.
A light snack will be provided on all charters, passengers must arrange their own food and drink. Food can be arranged at an additional cost. Contact us for more detail
Tea, coffee and water will be available for each charter
Notwithstanding anything else expressed or implied in these Terms and Conditions and except where a statute requires otherwise On the hunt Charters Limited and its contractors shall not be liable whether in contract, tort or otherwise for:
(a) the death of, or any injury to, a person or persons;
(b) damage to property;
(c) any direct, indirect, consequential, financial or economic loss, or damage to property, arising out of any act or omission of Epic Adventures Limited or its contractors.
You must ensure that you and any members of your party are aware of the risks that may arise from your booking.
Activities may include general boating, swimming, fishing, snorkeling, hiking and other sporting and outdoor activities. You and all members of your party must be competent to use sporting equipment required for any such activity and exercise all due care and attention when doing so.
We strongly recommend that all guests have full insurance covering any injury they might suffer, including medical treatment cover, before undertaking any such activity.
